never is cross-only sometimes overwrought. I do not see that she has a fault-but only a few foibles not skin deep-& her nature is so sweet & large & loving!

Came to Leeds
I.S. Anna, Edith Goode (stenographer) & I.
-Cossie torn asunder by calls, claims of temperance & everything else-so tired she laid her head on my shoulder in the cars & cried. The meanness of Mrs. A. is without parallel-she declares that she "will harrass I.S. until she quits the B.WTA." Dr.Norman Kerr came to see Isabel-says she has about the worst pulse he ever saw.

All day in Conference,
-Drawing Room Meeting in City Hall presided over by "Mayoress"- evening in Quaker Mtg house-all well attended & full of enthusiasm. Letters between times & people. Private drawing room of Temp hotel Trevellian set apart as our dining room.

Going to Liverpool to speak by Lady Carlyle's invitation at annual meeting of Woman's Liberal Federation (women's wing of Gladstone's party.)
