Reigate. These are busy days getting ready for the Council next week
Lady H. occupied with her address which is a masterly defence of her policy and methods and a complete refutation of the charges brought against her by majority of Executive[.]
Fan & I went to London as I had to see Hr. Wade about the fountain.
We did a little shopping and rode on top omnibusses.

It would be impossible to tell how beautiful the cottage and grounds are in this quaint little English town. Frances & Lady H. get on their tricycles and wheel about the lovely Priory grounds and greatly enjoy themselves in a spin after the days work.
The council comes on apace and we all wonder how it will eventuate. "We believe more than we know" and are persuaded that Lady H. will be completely victorious in everything
April 30, 1893
Fan and Nan went to church at Wesleyan chapel. Quite a helpful sermon but the worship was what we went for & did not depend on the poor little man's sermon. Mrs. Andrew & Dr. Bushnell came to dinner and we had a blessed sing out of Hymnal after which Mrs. Andrew prayed. It seemed so like the dear sings in Rest Cottage when Mother Willard & Yolande joined with us. What a revelation [?] the hereafter will be!

This busy eventful week has dawned and we have come up to London bag & baggage until the Council is over. It has taken a good share of the day to get ready and then to get settled. Lady Henry has all her materal ready and a classified bunch of corroborative evidence that is really startling. As we have not been invited to the Council we have joined the BWTA & this secured non delegates tickets
